2nd VWFS Conference | Towards Carbon Neutrality: Challenges of Corporate Decarbonization

Nextbitt was present at the 2nd VWFS Conference - Towards Carbon Neutrality: Challenges of Corporate Decarbonization, held on May 17, with Margarida Soares, Sustainability Business Development, as a speaker.

The event, organized by Volkswagen Financial Services Portugal, brought together industry leaders and experts to debate new regulations, trends and innovations in the area of sustainability and, in particular, the decarbonization of organizations.  

Margarida Soares, renowned for her vast experience in the field of sustainability, addressed crucial topics such as the green digital transition, the importance of preventive maintenance and efficient resource management. Her presentation highlighted the innovative solutions that Nextbitt offers, emphasizing how these can contribute to cost reduction and environmental sustainability for companies. During her speech, Margarida Soares also emphasized the need for companies to adopt advanced technologies for asset management, mentioning success stories and presenting concrete data demonstrating the tangible benefits of these practices.  

In addition to Margarida Soares, the event was attended by other renowned speakers. Miguel Ribeiro, Fleet Director at Volkswagen Financial Services Portugal, addressed the new trends and challenges in the automotive sector, while Patrícia Mendes, Head of Legal and Compliance and Human Resources at Volkswagen Financial Services Portugal, brought valuable insights into the legislation associated with the new European regulations in the area of sustainability. Assunção Cristas, partner at Vieira de Almeida and co-head of the Environment practice, added a legal perspective to the discussions, exploring the topic of the voluntary carbon credit market.
