Congress Center | Aveiro | Portugal

From October 27 to 29, Aveiro hosted Planetiers World Gathering 2024, one of the largest global events dedicated to sustainability and innovation. Nextbitt took an active part in the event, with Margarida Soares taking part in the panel "Energy and Water - Two Major Challenges of the Century". This panel included experts such as Catarina Canelas, Paul Peterson and Paulo Santos, who debated the main global challenges in energy and water management.

One of Nextbitt's major contributions was to measure the event's carbon footprint, reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and reducing negative impacts. This initiative allowed Planetiers World Gathering to monitor its emissions and implement more effective mitigation strategies.

At the same time, Nextbitt hosted an exclusive workshop on the 29th entitled "Carbon Footprint Mastery: Unlocking Business Impact through Precision Measurement". This workshop, aimed at companies, explored the best methodologies for calculating the organizational carbon footprint, offering tools and strategies for accurately measuring emissions, optimizing sustainability efforts and creating positive business results. Participants learned how to turn environmental responsibility into a competitive advantage.

The previous edition of the Planetiers World Gathering attracted more than 17,000 participants (onsite and online) from 100 countries, 120 speakers and more than 50 startups, consolidating its position as one of the leading sustainable innovation events. With this presence, Nextbitt strengthened its position as a leader in sustainable asset management and solutions for a greener future.
