What has been done

Optimizing operations and increasing efficiency

All physical assets were digitized on the Nextbitt platform and the processes required to manage these assets were also digitized.

Centralized management

Standardization and improved monitoring of the management of all maintenance service providers.

Compliance with SLAs

Immediate visibility on Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance to improve the quality and speed of service by external and internal providers.

Consumption monitoring

All of EDP's administrative buildings were sensorized with IoT to monitor water consumption and air temperature and quality in real time.

Better visibility and control

Through a complete digitalization of the physical asset management process and centralized management by a dedicated team, strict control of all processes was achieved.

Cost reduction and resource optimization

Through sensorization, we were able to check for water leaks in landscaped areas in near real-time, which led to major savings in water consumption. In addition, after implementing Nextbitt, there was also a reduction in the effort required by back-office teams to manage operations, covering more than 20,000 physical assets in more than 800 locations.

More efficient and sustainable operation

Overall, the implementation of Nextbitt has enabled EDP to operate more effectively, efficiently and sustainably in a highly competitive market.

Identification of anomalous patterns and non-conformities

Connecting meters to Nextbitt's SaaS platform enabled them to identify anomalous patterns and non-compliances in water management and air quality monitoring.
