Vodafone uses the Nextbitt platform for Soft and Hard Services Management and SLA control

Vodafone Portugal wanted to improve the management of the dozens of service providers who, every day, guarantee the operation of 14,000 assets in 100 buildings.

The large number of suppliers has created several problems in managing the operation:

Each provider used a different asset management tool;

When there was a change of supplier, all the information stored on the platform controlled by the service provider was lost.

Vodafone's help desk received requests and information through different channels, often by email, which made it difficult to process and follow up on requests.

What has been done

Cloud Platform

Accessible via browser or mobile APP, it allows quick access to suppliers, without the need to access Vodafone's internal network.

Specific workflows

The modules defined in the solution made it possible to immediately start managing various services, from one-off actions to regular or preventive tasks.

Document managementl

All the information is now stored, unaffected by the change of suppliers and giving management teams greater control.

Certification Information

It has become easier to store and organize all the information needed to verify compliance with ISO 14000 environmental certification.

Quick integration

The first production version was implemented in just 3 months, including the migration of existing data to the new solution.

SLA management

The Nextbitt solution now automatically calculates compliance with contracted Service Levels, making it easier to monitor service providers.

The Result

 

60,000 notifications per year

On the Nextbitt platform, Vodafone now processes more than 60,000 notifications a year and those responsible know that there is room for further growth.

Transparency and Real-Time Requests 

The relationship with suppliers has become more demanding and transparent, since Vodafone Portugal's management team and the requisitioners and suppliers now have access to the same tool and follow all orders in real time.

Operation agility

For example, when a store makes an intervention request, the help desk triages it and the supplier who has to solve the problem receives the notification. What's more, everything can be done from anywhere, using a computer or mobile device.

100% of requests answered

In the words of Esther Domínguez, Infrastructure Engineer at Vodafone, "there is now self-service on the part of those requesting the service and no request is ever left unanswered. In addition, there is no longer the danger of scattering information in different files, which sometimes created repetition and made it difficult to manage requests"
